Fishing-rod

General view of Fishing-rod

The General Description

The Fishing-rod is used by the chipmunks quite often.

In the episode "To the Rescue pt.2" (#40) we can see how Chip assembles the Fishing-rod using improvised means. The structure of the rod resembles a common human fishing rod.

This invention is intended for the accurate "hooking" of needed objects from a distance.

The base of the rod is made from a pencil with a spool of thread attached to it, which serves as the reel. Acting as the axis in the middle of the spool is a paperclip, which also functions as the handle to turn the reel. Along the pencil are affixed metal rings, through which a thread is passed, just like in a normal rod. At the end of the thread is tied a hook, which has been made from a bent straight pin.
