Monterrey Jack is a real traveller, like his parents.
Probably, his inclination for travel can be explained by searching
for a good cheese.
(Monty: "The slightest smell of Cheddar and something inside me
snaps".) Monterrey Jack has visited many countries, but
it's hard to figure out where he was born. His official biography
says that he has an australian accent, and Monty talks
quite frequently about his adventures in Australia.
He has a quite soft character, but he can quickly come to blows and
at times Monty can even defeat an enemy who is much bigger than
he is. But he has a weakness. Monty is afraid of cats (except
Fat Cat, probably he became familiar to Monty).
Monterrey Jack prefers brute force over planning, but he doesn't
resist if Chip plans an operation for him.
At home Monty generally
devotes himself to cooking and he has a talent for it
(in spite of the fact that he includes cheese in almost every dish he cooks).
Also Monterrey Jack loves to snack
("Traveller's first rule - to have a snack anytime you have
a chance" - Monty).
He joined to the team when Fat Cat
sunk Monty's home. From that
moment, Monterrey used his strength to help others. But he has
another part in the team - Monty takes the place of Gadget's father, who she lost before she knew the
Rescue Rangers. Monterrey Jack often travelled with
Geegaw and was very upset when he found out Geegaw was dead.
